Spacemate is an exhibition on display at the Faculty of Architecture at the Delft University of Technology. It has 30 small white models of building & neighborhood forms which cover many common spatial patterns, raging from high-rise modernistic blocks to old-town city blocks of row houses. Nearby is another 50 models of built environments. Spacemate, as discussed and diagramed in this book, is an elegant and useful didactic tool for designers and communities as it helps to evaluate the performance of building types by relating density to amenity indicators such as open space, privacy, territorial distribution, building height, and wind & sun patterns.
