The historical and archaeological reservation of Sboryanova is situated in North-East Bulgaria, between the villages of Maluk Porovets and Sveshtari, Isperih Municipality, in the Krapinets River canyon and on the hills around it, on an area of 674 hectares, two-thirds of which are forest-covered. The unique combination of natural conditions - water resources, forests and fertile soil has attracted people to settle there ever since the remotest past. Over 140 archaeological monuments are to be found on that comparatively limited territory - prehistoric settlements, tells and tumuli, sanctuaries, a Thracian town, an early Byzantine castle, fortifications from the time of the First Bulgarian Kingdom, a late medieval turbe, etc.
