This is the 15th edition of the annual report of States in Armed Conflict. It presents ongoing conflicts in the world for the period 1946-2002. The report includes armed conflicts involving at least one government and where the incompatibility concerns either government or territory. This issue commemorates the initiation of Uppsala conflict data efforts and the life of G. Kenneth Wilson. In the project history it can be read how this work began almost exactly 25 years ago.
