During and following WW II, there were several Catholic left wing organizations in Italy,France and Belgium. The term 'left' refers to individual and collective attitudes and concepts which did not seem compatible with Catholic traditions.
There were Catholic pleas for social and economic reforms changing the balance between capital and labor. This is the first book to deal with the phenomenon from a comparative and transnational perspective.
