This magnificent two volume edition presents the extant buildings and their fittings designed by Sigurd Lewerentz (1885-1975), one of the most headstrong and sophisticated personalities in 20th Century architecture. He was radical in his language. The extreme simplicity and elegance of his solutions are a sign of his brilliance:

Volume I presents Lewerentz's buildings chronologically in 160 color photographs. Volume II features more than 300 sketches and drawings demonstrating Lewerentz's obsessive manner of working through a problem by a seies of incremental revisions, simultaneously probing larger planning issues together with details in an ongoing process of refinement.
